Television is the basis of our success. We use our TV stations’ millions-strong reach to advance into digital business areas. In this way, we have consistently diversified our Company in recent years and created additional sources of revenue. Today, our growth is based on four segments: German-speaking TV business, our digital unit with a large entertainment and e-commerce portfolio, and our international program production and sales subsidiary.
The Entertainment segment focuses on the production of more local, relevant as well as live content, its distribution – linear and digital – here, the focus is on the Group's own streaming platform Joyn – as well as the expansion of viewing time across all platforms and cross-media advertising products as the key to even better monetization.
With the Seven.One Entertainment Group, the segment focuses on the core markets of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The platform-independent entertainment company combines our station brands and platforms – in digital, Joyn is clearly in focus – with the content, distribution and sales business under one roof. In parallel, it focuses on the expansion and sales of entertainment content alongside classic premium video marketing with live events, podcast sales and the largest influencer network in Germany.
More exciting content is offered by Seven.One Studios. The company bundles all production subsidiaries from Germany, the UK, Denmark and Israel as well as ProSiebenSat.1's global programme distribution, making Seven.One Studios a leading producer and marketer of entertainment content.
In our segment Commerce & Ventures, we bundle the growth business of ProSiebenSat.1 Group and thus our entire investment activities. Through a wide range of investment forms, we are able to support companies in various growth phases: From seed financing to media-for-revenue and media-for-equity deals to strategic majority investments. The beginning of our value chain represents SevenAccelerator which is part of our investment arm SevenVentures. These businesses support companies through media-for-revenue or media-for-equity deals with our TV and digital reach, thus increasing the respective brand awareness. In addition to these minority interests, the segment also includes the strategic interests of our investment vehicle SevenGrowth as well as the portfolio of majority interests of NuCom Group.
Under the motto “Meet – Date – Fall in Love”, we cover a broad spectrum in the online dating as well as social entertainment market with the brands of ParshipMeet Group. The Company is also diversified geographically: Online dating platforms such as eharmony, Parship, ElitePartner and LOVOO help singles in Europe, North America, and Australia to find a partner. Video-based social entertainment apps such as MeetMe, Skout, Tagged and GROWLr enable their users to socialize and be entertained worldwide. In this way, ParshipMeet Group can make various target groups a comprehensive offer for their search for friendships, flirting or a relationship.
