Television is the basis of our success. We use our TV stations’ millions-strong reach to advance into digital business areas. In this way, we have consistently diversified our Company in recent years and created additional sources of revenue. Today, our growth is based on four segments: German-speaking TV business, our digital unit with a large entertainment and e-commerce portfolio, and our international program production and sales subsidiary.
The Entertainment segment focuses on the production of more local, relevant as well as live content, its distribution – linearly and digitally – the expansion of cross-media advertising products as key to even better monetization and on strengthening the entertainment synergies across all segments of the Group.
For the production of own content, the synergies with the production business of Red Arrow Studios and Studio71 are of great importance.
With the Seven.One Entertainment Group, the segment is focusing on the core markets of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The platform-independent entertainment company combines our station brands with the content, distribution and sales business under one roof, thus covering the entire value chain of the entertainment business.
By combining the Parship Group and the US-based The Meet Group, we have created a leading global player in the dating field forming the new ParshipMeet Group. The offers of our Dating segment range from online matchmaking services through dating to social entertainment.
Operating in an attractive and fast-growing market environment, the ParshipMeet Group has diversified revenues spanning subscription models to advertising and addresses a broad target group across a large geographical area. In particular, The ParshipMeet Group's USP, its video streaming expertise, strengthens our position in the dating business and opens up new growth potential.
In our segment Commerce & Ventures, we bundle the growth business of ProSiebenSat.1 Group and thus our entire investment activities. Through a wide range of investment forms, we are able to support companies in various growth phases: From seed financing to media-for-revenue and media-for-equity deals to strategic majority investments. The beginning of our value chain represents SevenAccelerator which is part of our investment arm SevenVentures. These businesses support companies through media-for-revenue or media-for-equity deals with our TV and digital reach, thus increasing the respective brand awareness. In addition to these minority interests, the segment also includes the strategic minority and majority interests of our investment vehicle SevenGrowth as well as the portfolio of NuCom Group.
