SevenVentures Pitch Day 2019: four start-ups will go head-to-head at the DMEXCO for the chance at a multimillion media deal from the ProSiebenSat.1 Group

Munich, September 5th, 2019. SevenVentures, the investment arm of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group, today announces the finalists for the SevenVentures Pitch Day (7VPD), the prestigious pitch competition for start-ups. The grand prize includes a multimillion Euro media package from the ProSiebenSat.1 Group and €30,000 for the creation of a TV spot. The winner will also receive a four-month mentoring program from Flaconi. The prize will allow one winner to reach the mass market through tailored TV advertising.
In the final: Art Night, CHOOOSE, rebike1 and Jodel
Four companies have been selected to present their business model and vision at the ninth 7VPD on September 12th at the DMEXCO in Cologne.
· ArtNight is a start-up offering group-based art workshops
· CHOOOSE stands for the streamlining of climate action
· Jodel offers a social media platform for sharing anonymous posts
· rebike1 is an online marketplace for second-hand, premium E-Bikes
Media-for-Equity brings start-ups to the mass market
The SevenVentures Pitch Day is now in its ninth year and has helped multiple organisations break onto the mass market, including Hafervoll, Withings, GetYourGuide and the 2018 winner, Selfapy. The pitch event provides a rapid growth opportunity for the winning B2C start-up with unique products or services and a scalable business model.
The four finalists will compete against each other to win a comprehensive media and service package. The competition will be held in two separate rounds. In the semi-final round, two sets of start-ups will compete against one another for a chance to make it into the finale. First CHOOOSE will take on Jodel, followed by ArtNight against rebike1. The grand finale will feature the two winners of the previous semi-finals.
Joko Winterscheidt returns to the jury for a second time
Each finalist will present their ideas in a short pitch live on stage before a jury comprised of industry stakeholders and category experts. This year SevenVentures CEO Dr. Jens Pippig and Flaconi CFO Kathrin Nusser will be joined by TV presenter, businessman and start-up investor Joko Winterscheidt, who returns to the jury for another year following his 7VPD jury debut in 2017. Steven Gätjen will return as the event’s presenter.

ArtNight is a platform for creativity. Under the guidance of talented, local artists, workshop attendees are brought together in groups of around 25 to create works of art on easels in a social, fun environment.

rebike1 is a start-up operating in the eMobility sector. The company aims to be the most successful, cross-brand platform for second-hand premium E-Bikes and provide customers with attractive subscription and rental options.
